Federalism: Agree or Disagree

Every country has its own practice to be followed. One practice that a country has is having its own constitution. A constitution is the foundation of a country where the rules, policies, principles, etcetera are based. The Philippines is currently has its Unitary Form of Government where the centralized government receive the highest governing power. In this kind of government the centralized one receives money from every region and distributes it unfairly to the other regions. Our president, Rodrigo Duterte, has proposed changing the Philippines constitution into federalism for a fairer system of the country.

 

Federalism is where the sovereignty is constitutionally divided into states and provinces. The constitution divides the independent regions into local government units. These units will have their own ability to develop region through laws, policies, principles, and etcetera. It also grants more power in the finances, development and laws.

 

Federalism will also help the country grow stronger. The autonomous regions becoming local government units will be empowered to make their own decisions. For example, federalim will help them have more control to the resources they need. They can use their funds into developing their own region without going to the Malacañang for their agreement of what was planned for the betterment of their region.

 

Federalism can also help the country grow richer. Federalism helps the country be richer because 80% of the region’s money will remain while the 20% will go to the federal state government. In the 80% of the received or remained money it will be divided into two: 30% for the local state government and 70% will be given to the provinces for its development. In federalism, the budget of the country is distributed in equity unlike in Unitary form that the money received by each region will be given in the central region and will be distributed equally to the other regions by the given approved price of the president.

 

Federalism also avoids the too much dependence in Metro Manila. As stated earlier, local government units can develop their own region without waiting for the Malacañang’s agreement of the plan. The countries budget will not only focus in metro manila but, the budget will be given in an equity form or in fairer and just form.

 

Federalism may also be the possible solution in the conflict with Mindanao. According to Duterte, Bangsamoro Basic Law will not help stop the people of Mindanao until they do not get the freedom they want.

 

The Philippines is an archipelago country which the federalism constitution is more applicable. Federalism can help our country grow stronger, richer, and wiser. Federalism can also sustain each regions’ culture and tradition. Filipinos just need more enlightenment for what they need to know in federalism for them to have knowledge of its advantages in the country and for the people of the country.

Premarital Sex shouldn’t be legalized in Philippines

We all know that according to Bible that premarital sex is a sin. Yes, it does. God made this for us to prevent the harmfulness that it can cause to many people. Premarital sex is not a sin where you murder, steal, lie, or cheat. But premarital sex is a sin where both parties doing a thing that is not allowed to be done. Premarital is wrong because there is so many consequences that both man and woman can encounter, also these consequences can make devastation in both individual. It’s true that premarital sex depends on what you believe, but still this is a bad idea. Premarital can wreck or destroy marriage before it starts. Some people say that when both persons have sex outside the marriage the both persons can make a strong bond. But not all the time they not ending marrying the person. Most of the time there is a break up, which is much painful when it happened.

 

Premarital sex is a very big mistake. Why? As we can see now a days that many teenagers have their own life even they’re young, the reason is because of the premarital sex. It’s a mistake when both persons done this kind of thing and accidentally make a new birth of life. At young age it’s a huge mistake. Because it can affect their studies that they need in their future, it can also affect their behavior, they’re lives, they’re personality, and they’re family. Many people and many teenagers can’t earn money by their selves yet. So, what if the other person give birth then who’s going to feed the child, who’s going to sacrifice to give him/her a better future. There is thousand and thousand of people that lives in poor a country just like the Philippines. So, if premarital sex is going to be legalized many people can be addict in doing this and many people will think that it’s because its legal everything will be fine.

 

Premarital sex can be a start of many diseases or infection to human body. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infections or diseases that are passed on during unprotected sex with an infected partner. The age at first sex is an important risk factor for the acquisition of HIV.  Individuals who start their sexual activity at a young age are more likely to report higher rates of STIs. Premarital sex is one of the causes of STIs. Many people at young age starting to have sex already but most of the people is not aware of what they can have in this kind of thing. We can say that sex have benefits too, like it can lose weight, tone muscles, and it can produce hormones that can give both people excitement or happiness. But there are still things that people must keep in mind and that is sex can also produce different kinds of infections to human body. And what if that infection already spread to the whole body, it can be cause of different kinds of diseases like cancer, and we all know some cancers has no cure yet.

 

People who have done sex at young age can have a bad reputation to many or to his/her surroundings.  The word is out.You have had sex.  You quickly get labeled “easy,” “loose,” or “a sure bet.” We all know that these words can affect an individual personality, it can affect on how he/she thinks about anything. Most of people who experienced strong words coming to other people have anxiety This anxiety can lead to depression and what if this depression ate him or her, there’s a big possibility that these people can be suicidal. For the people who experiencing this can loss trust to other people like family, friends, and sometimes their love ones. She or he always have insecurities to his/herself.

 

Premarital sex can also affect the country. If premarital is going to be legalized it’s possible that the country can be over populated. Because many people will think that “because it’s legal everything will be fine.” If that thing happens many people will under go in this kind of thing and do it over and over again. That is bad because most of the people who does this kind of thing end in breaking up. If that happens this thing can be happen again and again. There’s also a possibility that the country can be poor because the government can’t handle the population anymore. I’m against of legalizing premarital sex, because of the consequences that many people can’t see when they under go in this kind of thing.

Achieving Success to any Job

All people want a job and all people need a job. But after getting a job people changes, once they got a job their new goal is how they’re going to be successful? Now there’s the job and it’s on the person how he/she going to do about it, it’s on the person how he going to be successful. People are the one who’s going to play their own role as a worker on a specific job they choose. Now the question is what should people do to be successful? What things should people keep in mind? If a person wanted to be successful at any job, he/she must acquire these things in doing it: punctuality, dependability, and ambition. These three important things are required in achieving on how they’re going to be successful person to their chosen job.

 

The first thing that people keep in mind is to have punctuality. One of the workers reason why they are getting fired or why they’re losing their jobs is because they don’t have punctuality. All people know time matters. But still some workers coming to their jobs late and in some cases when it comes to job, some workers passing a late submission of paper works given by their bosses. The problem here is many workers are not always on time. Coming to their job late, passing papers or works after the given deadline of submission. Many people have a lot of excuses and sometimes it’s not real or in other term they are making alibis so their boss will let it pass. But this lies, lack of motivation, and lack of punctuality can lead to unsuccessful job. When it comes to this kind of problem, time management is important. Making a time management in doing works can help people getting promoted and it’s also a good start for them to be successful to their chosen job.

 

Second thing that people must have is dependability. Having the ability to be counted or can rely upon things. Direct supervisor or boss is in charge to other employees, he/she must evaluate their performance. One of the any other areas that many employees must assess is the dependability. When a worker has the ability that he/she can be rely upon or can be counted on many things. Having this can help a person to be a successful worker and this can also help them to be successful to their chosen job. A dependable person can meet deadlines given by their bosses, he got some time management on doing his job. Also he is responsible on many things, he got the obligation to do something or he can control or care something given to him and last very reliable when it comes to his job. Dependability is one of the key to be successful to any job, because this requires a lot of responsibility and this can also help people to have determination to do more.

 

The last thing that people must keep in mind is their ambition. To have determination to do or to get something, a person should know first what is his or her goal, what is their ambition? As a worker or an employee of a specific job or business, they always think about how they’re going to be successful. Being ambitious can be a major factor in career success or in a job success, people who more likely want to be promoted at work usually get their dreams. Ambition can help people to force themselves to achieve and to strive harder to their goal to be successful and can also help to be more creative and productive. Ambition is one of the major point that people must keep to success at any job. Because being successful can’t be determine in strength, not how powerful the person is, not how much knowledge they have, but on how are they are willing to achieve more to get their goal. That is why having an ambition is very helpful to be successful.

 

These are the three requirements that people must have so they can be successful to their job. Having all these abilities can always lead a person to their success and can always help them to be a better employee to any specific job they have. If a person wanted to be a successful employee, he/she must always work hard and strive harder. Also, he must add punctuality, dependability, and ambition on doing his job and they will find successfulness.

“Culinary Internships Give Students a Taste of Restaurant Business”

The article is all about the internships at culinary students to restaurant business. The article was made by Kimberly Browner, April 24, 1997. It is all about the experience of the students to restaurant business. Where the students of the Aliso Niguel High school made an internship program. To teach their students in running a restaurant business.

 

The article made, describes the experiences of the students of the Aliso Niguel High School about their special luncheon of starting an internship program, to teach their students in running a restaurant business. Where the students spend 15 hours a week working at local restaurants as a part of their Culinary Arts Department Curriculum. In the article the writer also shows some of the aspects of Culinary Industry that the students can get or acquire in doing the internship.

 

In the article that Kimberly Browner made it shows some exact detail, like what school students went, also you can see how much time students spend in doing the internship, and it describe the feelings of the students in while doing their work. In the article the author writes the aspects that the student who’s having the Culinary Internship can acquire or get in having a restaurant business program. The article gives detailed information about the experience of the students, which this is the main point of the article and it also gives additional details, like what food did the students made for the 60 guests and what they feel while doing it. Even though the details look stated completely, some of the information is not clearly stated. The first paragraph of the article starts with a sentence that describes what’s happening inside the kitchen, it’s a very short introduction but it gives connection in the topic and the main idea of the article.

 

 

The article he made is subjective type that is based on the personal feelings of the students and personal experience. The overall evaluation of the article is average, because it’s all about personal experience. The article just misses some details in what students got after the internship, also the article misses some understanding ideas and the ending or the conclusion is not totally clear. The article is good, the opinions in the critical evaluation is to provide guide in the next article.

Abortion

Abortion is when the fetus is getting terminated or expulsed. Abortion is a way of killing a fetus inside the womb. There are two types of Abortion: Medical Abortion and Surgical Abortion. The Medical Abortion is more of a natural process of aborting the pregnancy. It uses abortion pills that will lead to miscarriage and it is done without a surgery. The other type of abortion is the Surgical Abortion. The Surgical Abortion it involves a minor surgery to remove the fetus. In doing the surgical abortion they cut and vacuum the fetus out of the womb.

 

A baby inside their mother’s womb doesn’t deserve death because they are innocent and doesn’t even know a thing in this world. Many people had a debate about this issue and there are people that are in favor and some are not. I am also not in favor of abortion because it is a sin and also an act of murder. I have done my research before about abortion and it is really depressing that a lot of people can kill an innocent child. And sadly many people doesn’t consider a fetus as a living creature they describe it as a “cell”. These are the list why I don’t want abortion to be legal.

Abortion is an issue here in the Philippines; many people want to legalize abortion because of the case of early pregnancy and unintended pregnancy. A lot of teenagers in this generation are experiencing early pregnancy because of their curiosity for sex and because of that curiosity they will eventually try it until they make a mistake because of their lack of knowledge. This unintended pregnancy will lead them to unsafe abortion and depression.  And because of their lack of knowledge when it comes to this kind of stuffs they might think of killing that child that is in their womb or killing their selves. Abortion can also have a bad effect on the mother’s side. She can have damage to her cervix, scarring of the uterine lining, damage to the organs and it can kill her.

Abortion is also not being legalized here in the Philippines it is because we are a catholic country. Abortion is an act of murder that is a sin the bible. It is stated in the bible verse, Exodus 20:13 the sixth commandment that “Thou shall not kill”. In the Catholic Church, murder is the worst sin a person could ever commit in this world. A precious life of a baby shouldn’t be taken away by its mother because it was God who gave life to the baby its mother is just an instrument that is used to develop the baby. Also, taking a child’s life is not right it is like taking away his/her chance to see the beautiful world that God has created and you will never experience the most genuine love that you can receive from your child.

It is sad that many countries today have legalized abortion even though they know it is wrong. They see it as a solution to poverty. They do it to avoid financial problem and responsibilities. It is also sad that they don’t give significance to a life of a child. A child that is a gift from above that we must cherish and love. Those are my top reasons why I don’t want abortion to be legalized here in the Philippines.

In this generation, people go to youtube to know and to see the new products that are being released. There are articles and other reviews but they prefer watching in youtube more. They watch their favourite vloggers or youtubers to review the new released products. Sometimes people do request a product review from them to know if the product is worth the price and if it’s really good.

One of my favourite beauty vlogger is Michelle Dy. She is a Filipino vlogger that is famous for all of the make- up tutorials. I watched her review about the new lipsticks and liquid lipsticks of vice cosmetics. At first is that she showed the packaging of the lipsticks. She also showed the different names of the lip products. After showing the different names she applied it on her lips and gives comments about the product. She also said the price of the product. She said that she was amaze by the lippies because it’s cheap and it’s like an expensive type of lippy.

Another product review that I’ve watch is Michelle Dy’s product review about the Fenty Beauty products by Rihanna. First is that she introduces the products then uses them. She said that those products are expensive but really worth the price. She was also happy about the products and she was amazed by the coverage of the products specially the foundations.

Her product reviews were all interesting. As I watch her reviews, I can see her love for make-up. She gives the most honest comments about a product. I find her videos amusing because of the way she introduce and use a product on her skin. She also tell random stuffs when she’s doing make up.

“Kitchen Sounds: The Orchestra of Cooking & Eating”

The article that I have is all about the sounds that are made in the kitchen. Sara Kate Gillingam was the author of that article. Her article was published at April 11, 2013. She is a food writer based in New York City. She also a author three cook books which is the “The Kitchn Cookbook: Recipes, Kitchens & Tips to Inspire Your Cooking (Clarkson Potter)”.

This is an article is for a cooking website which is Kitchn. It shows in the article the different sounds that were made in the kitchen. It talks about the senses that were used when cooking and also she also says that she loves the sound of the kitchen. Every time she heard different kitchen noise she gets excited and wants to record every sound.

What I have notice in the article is that it is really interesting especially to our course. As we cook every day we didn’t notice those simple things. The sound of the food that is being cooked, the sight of the texture of the food and the taste and flavour of the food we eat. I also noticed that the author is very passionate of what she is writing. She is really into cooking that’s why I find the article interesting. She describes every simple techniques of cooking very well. The article is also not structured and an informal type of essay.

Overall, the article is interesting. It shows the simple things that we didn’t notice while we cook foods. It makes us appreciate the simple things with food. The article is amusing too, by the way she describe the way the food is prepared. I recommend this article to every culinary or hrm students. It will make them appreciate the simple things we do as we prepare foods

The Struggles of Teaching Children

Throughout the years, teaching is said to be one of the hardest job in the world. It is also said that it is the most rewarding job too. It may seem very easy but it’s not. Every engineer, architects, business men, doctors and etc. goes through a lot of studying and learning before they reached their chosen career. Teaching requires a lot of hard work, commitment and patience.

Teaching requires a lot of hard w ork. It takes a lot of hard work just to finish a semester. Without hard work students may not participate and might find education is boring and non-sense. In teaching children a person must love their job in order to be happy while doing their thing. With that being said teaching also requires teachers to study lessons that is taught to the children, a lot of nights is spent by teachers not just by checking works and making lessons plans they also need to study what they teach to the students.

Another requirement in teaching is that a person must be committed to his/her job. For a student to be interested and excited in class, a teacher should just have fun and just be creative. An instructor should make some new activities and just be creative by his/her own way to make a child interested and excited to his/her subject. Commitment also gives the teachers joy to teaching, it is what makes teaching great because without the commitment the connection between teacher and student in a classroom will be wretched. Without commitment teacher in teaching communication between student and teacher can be held wary

The last requirement of teaching kids is to have patience. Since kids are importunate, teachers must be patient. Patience also comes in handy in a lot of perspective in teaching. Not only a person is improving his/her temper on children but also on a lot of things. Teaching helps people mature in the level of simplicity and proper manner. Patience is required in more ways in teaching. Teachers need to be patient with students not just because of their importunateness but also being understanding that most students cannot comply with the due dates given to them for school works.

Teaching has its way of not only the students learning different things from: but people learn from teaching itself. Teaching has helped people to reach out to others in a lot of different ways but there are no easy way to this. Being a teacher to children enhances the parental instinct as a person and connects people to others. Mentors are not just mentors. They become a ‘part’ of their students lives. Student often recollect feelings from the past and leave their teachers as an inspiration. It may be difficult and somewhat handfuls but there are things in teaching that gives no amount of money can buy.
